Hi, my name is Ariana Padilla-Carreras. I am currently a freshman at Pace University. I intend to major in media arts and communications. I live in Alumni Hall on the Pleasantville campus. I have been going to Pace University since August 16th, 2015. I came earlier due to athletics. I am a part of the very first Pace Field Hockey team.
So far my time at Pace University has been wonderful. Even though I am only about three months into the school year I have experienced so many different things. I have had the pleasure of being a part of a first year sports team, meeting lots of incredible people, making awesome friends, having incredible professors, and working towards what I love to do.
In the beginning of this past October I was majorly injured during a field hockey game. I was struck in the face by the ball, causing me to break my nose in four different places and suffer from a major concussion. Undergoing this injury was truly horrific. However, I have been able to remain positive and stay strong through my recovery because of the tremendous amount of support I received from my team, my friends, and my faculty.
Without the relationships I have made at Pace University I would not have been able to stay as strong as I did during my injury. The community is truly one of a kind. Without all the exceptionally kind and unique individuals, Pace University would not be the remarkable college it is.
I am very happy to say that I am a part of the Pace University community. I can't imagine myself at any other school. I am definitely looking forward to continuing my experience at Pace University.
